The Ministry of Education has announced that the results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will be published today – just two months after the exams were held.
Education Adviser Dr C R Abrar confirmed the development during a discussion at the Ministry on Wednesday (9 July), emphasising that the early publication aims to ensure speed, accuracy, and transparency while avoiding unnecessary formalities.
“The results are being released promptly and accurately, without extravagant ceremonies. The focus is entirely on transparency,” Dr Abrar stated.
The results will be published simultaneously by all 11 education boards – nine general education boards, the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board, and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board – under their own respective management. There will be no central handover ceremony or ministerial presence at the time of announcement.
Khondokar Ehsanul Kabir, Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, confirmed that the results will be made available from 2:00 pm on Thursday across all boards.
A total of 18,28,181 students sat for the SSC and equivalent exams this year. Of them, 14,90,142 were under the nine general boards, 2,94,726 under the Madrasah Education Board, and 1,43,313 under the Technical Education Board.
According to a notice issued by the Inter-Education Board Examination Controllers’ Committee, results from the Dhaka, Rajshahi, Cumilla, Jashore, Chattogram, Barishal, Sylhet, Dinajpur, and Mymensingh boards, alongside the Madrasah and Technical boards, will be published concurrently.
Students can access their results online or via SMS after 2:00 pm. To receive results by SMS, candidates must type SSC followed by a space, the first three letters of their board name, roll number, and exam year, and send it to 16222. For example: SSC Dha 123456 2025.
Results can also be checked online at www.educationboardresults.gov.bd by entering the roll and registration numbers. Educational institutions can download full result sheets by inputting their EIIN on www.dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd.
This year’s examinations commenced on 10 April and concluded on 13 May, with practical assessments held between 15 and 22 May.
