The movie ‘Dead Body’, directed by Md Iqbal, was released a few days ago. This generation’s singer Srabony Shayantoni lent her voice for the playback in this movie. Srabony rendered the playback song titled ‘Jaan Re’ has already been released on YouTube.
The song was written by Salauddin Sagor and FA Pritom has composed its tune. Pritom Kumar was Srabony’s co-artiste in this song. Shamol Mawla and Misty Jahan lip-synched the song in the movie.
Srabony said that she is getting a lot of response since the release of the song. While talking in this regard, Srabony Shayantoni told this correspondent,
“I have always seen it in other cases that this is so much for movie songs. Now that I’ve got a song for myself, I understand that playback is different.
I’m getting a lot of praise for that song every day. The close people are saying well, besides many people
who don’t know me are praising the song. Everyone is appreciating the lyrics, melody and our rendering style. I am very encouraged by this.
I have a dream to playback better movies in the future.”
Meanwhile, Srabony took part in the stage show immediately after Eid.
In the 50th anniversary and reunion event of Pirgacha Satdarga Two-faced High School in Rangpur she enthralled the audience by rendering songs.
Srabony informed that she is studying Indian Classical Music at Visva Bharati University in India. She came to the country on vacation.
At the moment, she is at home in the village of Rangpur. She is supposed to come to Dhaka in
a few days to work on some new songs.
