Bangladesh Women’s Kabaddi Team Captain Sraboni Mallick said they have taken fairly good preparation for the five-match test series against Nepal scheduled to be held from April 20-25 in Kathmandu.
Prior to the team’s departure on Saturday, the captain also found upbeat to give their best effort to win the series against Nepal.
She said their main target is the Kabaddi World Cup and this test series would help them to prepare to perform well in the World Cup.
She admitted that Nepal is a comparatively better side than Bangladesh because the Nepalese team has got the opportunity to play several practice matches before this test series.
Sraboni said, “If we had the opportunity to play practice matches with the foreign teams, we could have performed better in the test match.”
General Secretary of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation SM Newaz Shohag said through this test series the girls would be able to understand whether they have any lacking or not before the World Cup.
He also hoped a good result of Bangladesh Kabaddi Team in the Test series. The first match of the Test series will be held today. The remaining four matches will be held on April 21, 22, 24 and 25.
