Bangladesh’s sporting arena witnessed a renewed call for unity and collective purpose recently as the Bangladesh Sports Federations Secretaries Forum (BSFSF) constituted an ad-hoc committee to steer its activities for the coming year.
M A Quddus Khan, General Secretary of the Bangladesh Boxing Federation, has been entrusted with the mantle of President, while veteran organiser Dildar Hasan Dilu, the founding General Secretary of the Bangladesh Wushu Federation, has been appointed General Secretary.
The meeting was held at a hotel in Gulshan, Dhaka, brought together leading sports administrators to shape the interim leadership. Bangladesh Hockey Federation’s General Secretary Lt Col (Retd) Riazul Hasan and Bangladesh Swimming Federation’s General Secretary Md Mahbubur Rahman Shahin were named Vice Presidents. Bangladesh Badminton Federation’s General Secretary Rasel Kabir Sumon was chosen as Joint Secretary, and Bangladesh Archery Federation’s General Secretary Tanvir Ahmed was tasked with the role of Treasurer.
