S’pore-USA apparel venture to invest $10.27m in CEPZ

Singapore-USA based company Nasco USA Pte Ltd. is going to set up an apparel plant in Comilla Export Processing Zone, says a press release.
This jointly owned company will invest US$ 10.27 million to produce annually 5.04 million pcs of Shirt, Pant, Short, Jacket, Skirts, Overall and will create employment opportunity for 2470 Bangladeshi nationals.
An agreement to this effect signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and. Nasco USA Pte Ltd. in Dhaka on Sunday. Sayed Nurul Islam, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Heng Chak Joo, Chairman of Nasco USA Pte Ltd. signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organization.
Khandakar Aktaruzzaman, Member (Engineering), A K M Mahbubur Rahman, Member (Finance), Md Shawkat Nabi, Secretary, Nazma Binte Alamgir, General Manager (Public Relations) and Md. Nurul Haque, General Manager (Enterprise Services) of BEPZA were present at the signing ceremony.
