Spl law and order meeting held in N’ganj

A special law and order meeting regarding traffic congestion in Narayanganj city was held today. The meeting took place from 11 AM to 2:30 PM at the conference room of the district administration. Participants discussed the various causes of traffic jams in the city and proposed solutions to address the issue.
The meeting was chaired by Narayanganj District Commissioner Zahidul Islam Mia, with the participation of District Police Superintendent (SP) Pratyush Kumar Mojumder, Civil Surgeon Dr. AFM Mushfiur Rahman, Additional District Commissioner (General) Alamgir Hossain, Senior Assistant Commissioner of the District Administration Monabbar Hossain, convenor of the Metropolitan BNP Advocate Sakhawat Hossain Khan, member secretary Advocate Abu Al Yusuf Khan Tipu, member of Jamaat-e-Islami’s executive committee Maulana Moinuddin Ahmed, cultural personality Rafiur Rabbi, Director of Narayanganj Chamber of Commerce Ahmedur Rahman Tanu, and the convenor of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Nirab Raihan, among other political leaders and government officials.
During the meeting, Narayanganj District Commissioner Zahidul Islam Mia emphasized that, in addition to administrative efforts, it is crucial for every citizen to be conscious and respect the law in order to reduce traffic congestion. He mentioned several measures taken, including controlling illegal auto-rickshaws, preventing passengers from boarding and alighting haphazardly, stopping illegal parking, not allowing street vendors to occupy roads, and banning the operation of vehicles without route permits. He expressed hope that, within a short period, traffic congestion in the city would decrease.
