New police superintendent Mohammad Shafiqul Islam exchanged views with journalists working in Feni.
The meeting was held in the police superintendent’s conference room on Monday afternoon.
Additional police superintendent Saidur Rahman (Administration and Finance), Additional police superintendent Saiful Islam (DSB), Additional police superintendent (Sadar Circle) Nishat Tabasum, District Detective Police OC Morm Singh Tripura and senior officers of the district police were present.
Police superintendent Shafiqul said in the meeting that journalists and police are opposite sides of the same coin. We both always try to work for the welfare of the country.
I seek everyone’s cooperation to ensure that we can provide overall security to the people of Feni in the coming days with everyone’s cooperation and that voters can go to the polling station without fear in the upcoming elections.
He also said that a decision will be taken after discussing with the District Commissioner to prevent unregistered CNG and three-wheelers from plying in the district. We will try to ensure that people have confidence in the police.
