Southeast Bank, Genex Infosys ink deal

Southeast Bank PLC has recently signed an agreement with Genex Infosys PLC at the bank’s head office, marking a pivotal step forward in the financial technology sector.
Nuruddin Md Sadeque Hossain, managing director of Southeast Bank PLC, and Shah Jalal Uddin, managing director & CEO of Genex Infosys PLC, exchanged the signed documents.
This collaboration will integrate Southeast Bank’s acquiring payment gateway into Genex’s electronic fiscal device (EFD) machines.
Genex will route Southeast Bank’s Payment Gateway for card transactions across its extensive network, enabling efficient and seamless generation of VAT invoices for merchants throughout Bangladesh.
The partnership is poised to play a vital role in advancing the country’s move towards a cashless society while promoting greater financial inclusion.
Additionally, it will empower retailers to enhance their VAT collection processes, contributing to increased government revenue.
This agreement reflects Southeast Bank’s commitment to innovation and its efforts to support the digital transformation of the financial landscape of the country.
