Safi Muddasir Khan Jyoti, the son of former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, was arrested by police late Friday night. The arrest occurred in the Uttara area of Dhaka.
Jyoti is being held in connection with a case filed at the Ashulia Police Station. Dhaka District Police Superintendent Ahmed Mueed confirmed the arrest, stating that it relates to a shooting incident that occurred during a student protest against inequality. The legal process is currently ongoing.
