A new surprise has arrived regarding the much-discussed film Emperor Versus Sarat Chandra from the other side of the border. About four months ago, during the announcement, it was revealed that Sohini Sarkar, Rudranil Ghosh, and Satyam Bhattacharya would star in the film.
But after the first look was released, a major change came to light – from the lead actress to several key cast members, many have been replaced. The latest update is that Mimi Chakraborty will replace Sohini Sarkar.
Stage actor Buddhadeb Das has replaced Rudranil Ghosh, and Rik Chakraborty will be seen instead of Satyam Bhattacharya. When asked about the reason behind these changes, director Srijit Mukherji said, “The producer can better answer why Mimi was chosen instead of Sohini. Casting often changes due to various reasons.”
This film also marks the first collaboration between Mimi Chakraborty and Srijit Mukherji as director, which has created additional curiosity around the project.
