SMP to beef up area-wise special security for Eid

Sylhet Metropolitan police (SMP) will take area-wise special security measure in the city marking the forthcoming Eid-ul-fitr.
Joint commissioner of Detective Branch (DB) of SMP said “The special security measure will be taken two days prior to the Eid and it will be effective till normal situation get back in city.”
The spokesperson of SMP said around one crore people will leave the city in this vacation. Law enforcing agencies will discharge their duties so that no crime would be happened, he said adding that CCTV cameras set up at different houses and establishments will be examined before Eid to make security foolproof.
If it is needed, the authority concerned would be asked to repair their CCTV cameras, he also said.
Security plan has been taken by dividing the police outposts, boxes and stations on the basis of areas, he also informed.
