SMP commissioner Rezaul Karim honored with ‘IG Badge’ for outstanding service

Sylhet Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md. Rezaul Karim has earned the ‘Police Force Exemplary Good Service Badge-2024’ (IG Badge) in recognition of his exemplary and commendable work.

Inspector General of Police Bangladesh (IG) Baharul Alam presented the honorary badge to the SMP Police Commissioner at the Rajarbagh Police Lines Parade Ground in the capital on Thursday (May 1) morning.

Sylhet Metropolitan Police ADC (Media) Mohammad Saiful Islam confirmed the matter.

It is learned that Md. Rezaul Karim has taken timely and strong steps to keep the overall law and order situation in the city normal and under control since joining as Sylhet Metropolitan Police Commissioner. In addition, he took important steps to maintain the overall law and order situation, including continuing the campaign to eradicate drugs, solving the mystery of clueless murders, and preventing smuggling.

In addition, he was awarded this prestigious award in recognition of various steps taken to brighten the image of the police in the public mind and restore the lost respect of the police, and to increase the morale of the police members working in the SMP.
