The Chief Adviser of the Interim Government of Bangladesh has expressed heartfelt gratitude to all electricity distribution agencies, particularly the Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB), for ensuring uninterrupted power supply throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
At a program held at his official residence, Jamuna, on Saturday, the Chief Adviser praised the coordinated efforts of BREB and 80 Palli Bidyut Samities (PBSs), calling it a “collective achievement” that reflects both professional commitment and public service ethics.
Despite facing resource constraints, the country’s power distribution agencies successfully maintained a steady electricity supply during the fasting month.
This was achieved through a combination of efficient electricity management and a nationwide awareness campaign promoting responsible usage.
To further reinforce the message, religious leaders across mosques highlighted electricity conservation during sermons, while leaflets and stickers were distributed across the country, educating people on the importance of safe and efficient electricity use.
In recognition of the performance, the BREB Chairman congratulated all officials and staff, urging them to stay united and vigilant to maintain the momentum of reliable power service delivery.
“Ensuring uninterrupted electricity is not only a professional obligation but also a moral responsibility to the people,” he emphasized.
This acknowledgment by the Chief Adviser has been seen as a morale boost for the power sector, particularly for the frontline staff who worked tirelessly to support the nation’s energy needs during Ramadan.
