Today is the first day of Bengali 1432, i.e. Pahela Boishakh. Today, the entire country will be celebrating the Bengali New Year.
Similarly, artistes in the music scene of Bangladesh will also welcome the Bengali New Year with songs in various stage shows and TV shows in and outside Dhaka today.
Among the various singers in the country’s music scene who will be busy with stage shows and TV shows today, the following are notable: Monir Khan, Dithi Anwar, Sohel Mehedi, Kona, Konal, Sabbir, Rajib, Luipa, Zhilik, Jui, and Moumita Barua. They will all have a busy time today, the first day of Boishakh.
Monir Khan told this correspondent, “Happy Bengali New Year to everyone. I’m currently in my village home in Jhenaidah. My mother is sick so I came to visit her. However, I will be in Dhaka on the first day of Boishakh. That night, I will perform at a concert near the Kanchan Bridge, 300 feet from the capital.” Dithi Anwar wished everyone a Happy New Year and said, “Today I will be performing at Dhaka Club at a function this afternoon. I hope to see everyone and we will celebrate the New Year with songs.”
Singer Sohel Meheddi said, “This year’s Pahela Boishakh will be spent in my Ishwardi. I will sing at Ishwardi’s Maniknagar High School this afternoon. This time I am alone in this event. My best wishes for a happy Bengali New Year to everyone, including the people of Ishwardi.”
Popular singer Kona told this correspondent, “Happy Bengali New Year to everyone. I had a great time this Eid with the discussion of ‘Konna’ song. I hope the Bengali New Year is starting well. I will be performing at the capital’s Engineering Institution this morning.”
Konal said, “This year’s Eid ended with the mesmerising song ‘Mayabi’ from the movie ‘Borbaad’. Happy New Year to everyone. I will be performing at a stage show in Keraniganj this evening.”
Singer Rajib said he performed in a show in Cumilla yesterday. “I will sing in the show on Pahela Boishakh this morning. Apart from that, there is no other stage show today,” he added.
Sabbir Zaman said, “On the first day of the Bengali New Year, I will welcome the day by performing at a concert in Dhamrai.”
Singer Luipa said, “My Bengali New Year’s celebration began with a dance in the afternoon and a musical performance in an upscale area of the capital at night.”
Singer Zhilik shared her feelings by this way, “I will be participating in live musical event on NTV at 10:00am today. Then in the afternoon, I will perform at the Bengali New Year’s celebration event at the Boat Club area. Happy Bangla New Year to everyone.”
Singer Israt Jahan Jui shared mentioned, “The second phase of the All Community Club, located at the capital’s Gulshan Club, will be organised to welcome the Bengali New Year with musical performances starting at 8:00pm. A few other artistes will be singing with me at this event.”
This generation’s singer Moumita Barua said, “I will be performing at the Bangladesh Air Force’s Bangla New Year’s celebration this afternoon. Fakir Shahabuddin Bhai and Mac Apple will also be singing with me. We will welcome the Bengali New Year with songs and songs.”
