Three Bangladesh citizens are among the recipients of special state awards conferred by the Republic of Singapore, to recognize individuals and teams who made outstanding contributions to Singapore’s fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Abdul Kalai Mony, assistant supervisor (forensic technician), Forensic Medicine Division, Health Sciences Authority, Ministry of Health, and Dr Syeda Kashfi Qadri, consultant, Children’s Intensive Care Unit, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore Health Services have both been conferred with the Commendation Medal while Molla Mohammed Ripon, landscaper, ISS Hydroculture Pte Ltd, has been conferred with the Public Service Medal (Friends of Singapore), according to a press release issued on Thursday.
The Commendation Medal is awarded to individuals who had performed outstandingly in their roles, displayed tremendous courage and dedication and went beyond the call of duty while maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times in the fight against Covid-19.
The Public Service Medal (Friends of Singapore) is awarded to individuals who had performed outstandingly in the efforts to manage the impact of Covid-19 and displayed tremendous courage and dedication.
The awards will be conferred to the recipients at a ceremony to be held in 2023.
