Sikder Group Managing Director (MD) Ron Haque Sikder has secured bail hours after his arrest in an attempted murder case filed by the Exim Bank in 2020.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ashek Imam on Friday afternoon granted the bail when the Detective Branch of police produced him before the court.
Detectives on Friday morning arrested Sikder Group Managing Director Ron Haque Sikder at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on his arrival from abroad.
Ron, a fugitive in the case, arrived Dhaka hearing the death news of his father Zainul Haque Sikder, the Chairman of Sikder Group.
Zainul Haque Sikder died from coronavirus infection at a Dubai hospital on Wednesday afternoon at the age of 91.
