Entertainment Report :
Lux-Channel i Superstar famed Sifat E Tahsin, who was once a familiar face in acting, has been living in the United States with her husband and children for an extended period.
However, it was announced yesterday that she has returned to acting in a special drama titled ‘Fander Preme’.
The drama, directed by Tanvir Tareq and shot across multiple locations in New York, is a romantic thriller exploring the complexities of love and relationships within the migrant Bangladeshi community.
Tahsin gained recognition in 2009 through the Lux-Channel i Superstar competition. Following that, she actively worked in television dramas and commercials. In 2018, she got married and relocated to the United States, shifting her focus to family.
As a result, she stepped away from acting. Her last screen appearance was in 2019, starring alongside Mosharraf Karim in the drama ‘Viral Masud’.
According to a leading Bengali daily, the actress remarked about the project from New York, stating, “The story of the drama is remarkable. This is my first project with Tanvir Bhai as the director, and he created such a comfortable atmosphere on set that I hardly felt like I was returning to acting after so many years. I thoroughly enjoyed being back in front of the camera after such a long time.”
Director Tanvir Tareq shared his feelings by this way, “Several years ago, I directed a drama featuring Jayanta Chattopadhyay, Apurba, and Nadia, which, coincidentally, was also a Valentine’s Day special.”
He also said, “This time around, I am once again presenting a Valentine’s Day special drama to the audience. I hope viewers will find something fresh in its narrative.”
Tanvir Tareq also revealed that the drama ‘Fander Preme’ includes a romantic song, for which he composed the lyrics, and melody, and provided the vocals.
The music arrangement for the track was done by Avijit Jitu.
The drama ‘Fander Preme’ is set to premiere on February 14 as a Valentine’s Day special on the US-Canada-based YouTube channel, ATV USA.
The cast of the drama includes Sayed Babu, Akash Rahman, Anwar Hossain, Shah Alam Dulal, Ruma Alam, and among others.
