Ikramul Haque Siam and Saima Benta Alam Saba earned one point each while Nova Tasha and Samia Benta Alam Shoshi bagged 0.5 point apiece after 3rd round games of Asian Youth Chess Championships Under-14,16 and 18 Open and Girls Categories being held in New Delhi, India.
In the day’s 3rd round game, Siam beat Wanigasinghe Nipuna Nandika of Sri Lanka. Nova lost to Nurullaev Akhmad of Uzbekistan, Soshi lost to Rajapaksha of Sri Lanka and Saba lost to Azali Tannaz of Iran.
Earlier, in the 2nd round Saba won against Al Maamari Wafia Darwish of the UAE and Nova split points with Delroy Singh of Singapore. Siam and Shoshi lost their respective 2nd round games.
