For the first time, director Raihan Rafi is venturing beyond action-romantic films to make a horror movie. The film is titled Andhar.
For about six months, discussions were ongoing with Afran Nisho for the film. Although he was finalised for the role, Nisho eventually stepped away due to health issues, which he personally confirmed. Now, actor Siam Ahmed is taking on the role that Nisho declined.
It has been reported that the signing has already been completed. The film is currently in pre-production. Apart from Siam, Chanchal Chowdhury is also expected to star in the movie. This big-budget project is scheduled to begin shooting in September.
The film is likely to be released between the two Eid festivals. In addition, Siam will also star in a new film directed by MehediHasanHridoy, set to release during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
Earlier this year, Hridoy’s directorial Borbad, starring Shakib Khan, was a massive box office success. His next film was also supposed to star Shakib Khan, but the top actor turned it down. Now, Siam is set to take on that project.
