Shahbaz Mia Shovon, a social worker and young politician from Bakerganj in South Bengal, has been appointed as a member of the Information and Research Sub-Committee of the Bangladesh Awami League.
The appointment was made on Sunday, June 9, under the direction of Bangladesh Awami League President Sheikh Hasina MP, and was signed and approved by Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader MP.
The chairman of this sub-committee is Dr. Saidur Rahman Khan, former Vice-Chancellor of Rajshahi University and former High Commissioner of Bangladesh to the UK. Dr. Selim Mahmood MP, Information and Research Secretary of the Bangladesh Awami League and a legal and energy expert, has been appointed as the member secretary of this sub-committee.
Shahbaz Mia Shovon is an internationally recognized IT entrepreneur and software engineer.
