Bollywood: Shilpa Shetty to file defamation case against her for false accusations

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has expressed her anger over her name being linked to allegations of financial fraud of over Rs 60 crore against her husband Raj Kundra.

She has threatened to take legal action against those spreading false information and defamatory news.

Recently, Raj Kundra was accused of cheating people of over Rs 60 crore.
The complainant claims that the money was sent to the bank accounts of four actresses, including Shilpa Shetty, Bipasha Basu and Neha Dhupia.

However, in this controversy, Shilpa Shetty’s lawyer has claimed that this information is completely false and baseless.

He said, “My client did not make any transaction of Rs 15 crore ten years ago. We will take strict legal action against those who are spreading such wrong information.”

The lawyer further said, “We are trying to find out from which source such false news is being spread.

We will be forced to file a criminal case against the media outlets that have tried to defame my client with false information. Since the case is sub-judice, it is not possible to say anything more.”

Meanwhile, regarding the allegations of fraud of Rs 60 crore, Raj Kundra said, “I would say wait a little longer. We have not done anything wrong in this life and we will not do anything. The truth will come out very soon.”
