Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir on Thursday held a protest march and rally in Dhaka city to protest the sabotage and terror created by the banned Awami League, Chhatra League and their allies.

They also demanded the trial of all genocides including July, providing a legal basis for the July Charter.

The march started from Dhaka College and circled various important roads and ended with a rally at the Raju Statue of Dhaka University.

Zahidul Islam, President of the student organization, as chief guest said, “the tears of the martyred families, the blood of the injured and the disabled are still speaking. However, the trial of the July massacre is being delayed. Even though a year and a half has passed, the government has not been able to give a single verdict so far despite the presence of numerous visual evidence.”

He said, “Awami League is not at the level of humans; they are worse than animals. There is no room for them to make any concessions. They have already carried out arson terrorism across the country; they burned a driver to death in Mymensingh. No politics of arson terrorism and fascism will continue in this country in the future.”

Urging the government, he said, “The trial of all genocides including the July massacre, Peelkhana and Shapla massacres must be ensured quickly. The July Charter is one of the aspirations of this nation, through which important reforms of the state will be carried out. But one party is consciously obstructing this.”
