Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir’s Jagannath University (JnU) unit has announced its panel for the upcoming Jagannath University Central Students’ Union (JnUCSU) elections. The panel, named “Adommo Jobian Oikya”, features university unit Shibir president Md Riazul Islam as vice-president (VP), unit secretary Abdul Alim Arif as general secretary (GS), and Masud Rana, organiser of Up Bangladesh at JnU, as assistant general secretary (AGS)
The panel was announced at a press briefing held at 12:30 today in front of the Language Martyr Rafiq Bhaban. The announcement was jointly made by Nurul Islam Saddam, central secretary of Islami Chhatra Shibir, and Riazul Islam, president of the JnU unit.

Ibrahim Khalil as education and research secretary
Sukhiman as science and technology secretary
Nur Mohammad as health and environment secretary, Habib Mohammad Faruk as law and human rights secretary, Nowshin Nowar Joya as international affairs secretary Nahid Hasan Russel as literature and culture secretary Zargis Anwar Naim as sports secretary Tawhidul Islam as transport secretary Mostafizur Rahman as social service and student welfare secretary Md Sohag Ahmed as library and seminar secretary Executive members are Shanta Akter, Salem Hossain Siam, Fatema Akter orin, Akib Hasan, Hafez Kazi Arif, Md Mehedi Hasan, and Abdullah Al Faruk.
VP candidate Riazul Islam is a student of the 2018–19 session of the Law department; GS candidate Abdul Alim Arif is from the 2018–19 session of the Law and Land Administration department; and AGS candidate Masud Rana is a student of the 2019–20 session of the Physics department.
Meanwhile, in the past three days, 312 students have collected nomination forms for both the central and hall union elections.
According to the election schedule announced on 5 November, the final voter list was published on 12 November. Four nomination forms were collected on 13 November. Distribution of nomination forms continued on 16 November and will remain open until 17 November. Submission of nomination forms is scheduled for 17 and 18 November, followed by scrutiny on 19 and 20 November. The preliminary list of candidates will be published on 23 November.
Objections and settlements will take place on 24, 25 and 26 November. Candidates will undergo dope tests on 27 and 30 November. The final list will be published on 3 December. Nomination withdrawal will be open on 4, 7 and 8 December, with the withdrawal list published on 9 December.
Candidates may campaign from 9 to 19 December, and polling will be held on 22 December. Vote counting will take place on election day, and results will be announced between 22 and 23 December, according to the schedule.
