Tidbits: Sharmila tears up poster of her ‘Bikini’ film out of fear of in-laws

Although we are used to seeing heroines in bikinis these days, it wasn’t like that back then. In the 60s, only a handful of actresses were seen in revealing outfits.

But then Sharmila Tagore broke the so-called taboo and was caught in a bikini. She had to tear down the poster of the film to hide herself from her mother-in-law.

In an interview, the actress was seen sharing various unknown stories from her life. Sharmila laughed by saying how much she had to do to shoot in a bikini.
