The dead body of an old man named Mohammad Ali Khan of village Paschim Khontakata under Sharankhola Upazila in Bagerhat district was recovered by the police just from the before of his residence at Friday night at about 9 am, according to a news received here.
It is guessed by the police that due to his (deceased) recent 2nd marriage he was, perhaps, killed in the hands of his sons. After the killing of the old man his 2 sons- Rafukul and Mostafiz went into hide. Ismail Hossain Khan, son of the deceased’s brother told, my uncle Mohammad Ali left behind 2 daughters and 4 sons to mourn his death. My uncle was living with his eldest son Mashiur Rahman. As the first wife is ill my uncle married for the second time on last Tuesday without the knowledge of his sons and daughters and returned home along with the newly married wife. But the sons and daughters could not take the matter easily and thence forth the quarrel was taken place between father Mohammad Ali and his 2nd son Rafikul Islam Khan and it was continued and at one stage the 2nd son threatened to kill his father.
