Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
Lux superstar Shanarei Devi Shanu is a viewers’ choice popular actress. In the past few years, she has become a popular poet and fiction writer.

For the past eight years, when the month of February comes, she becomes a full-fledged book fair person.

Regularly going to book fairs at certain times every day, talking to the readers, informing them about books, what other types of books should be published – Shanu tries to gain knowledge about all such things; as well as to highlight and explain to the reader about her own book. If the reader likes it, buy it, if not like it, move on. Shanu has no headache with this.

Because she composes literature in the joy of mind, writes in the joy of mind. If it can move the mind of a reader, then she is useful as a writer.

Shanu’s first book at the 2017 book fair was a book of poetry titled ‘Nil Foring er Kabbyo’, which contained 58 poems. On the 21st day of that fair, the first print of her first poetry book was finished. In the first year, Shanu was awarded the ‘Ananda Alo Literary Award’.

Meanwhile, the first novel written by Shanu’s life was ‘Ekla Akash’, which was published in 2019. Her three poetry books were published in 2018. These were – ‘Lal Epitaph’, ‘Choitonnyo Theke Osomoyer Chirkut’ and ‘Tribhuj’. Then several more books were published in the next four years.

During childhood, Shanu heard various stories about the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from her grandfather Nobo Kishore Singh. She has tried to portray that story through pictures and writing in this book.

While talking in this regard, Shanu told this correspondent, “The sole purpose of writing this book is to present the legacy of the honorable Prime Minister to the present generation.

I have tried to convey in it the stories I heard from my grandfather about the Hon’ble Prime Minister as well as the biography of the Prime Minister till this time. I have no political intentions. I just wrote the book from my place of love. I hope the reader will like the book.”

Shanu also said she received an award from the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for becoming second position in folk dance at the national level when she was a student of Class-VII or Class-VIII. It was her first and only meeting with the Prime Minister.
