Shanta Jahan, the most popular presenter of the present time, spent this Eid
in Qatar because she has to perform in a stage show there. She returned home
on April 2 after the show.
Shanta said that even though she spent Eid in Qatar, she was seen on
various TV channels during Eid programmes.
Shanta Jahan was seen hosting the programmes ‘Tara Star’ on GTV, ‘Eid Star’ on Channel 9, and ‘Tarar Eid’ on Bangla TV for seven consecutive days during Eid.
Since she would not be in the country, Shanta didn’t take responsibility for any
live programme on any TV channel. However, she said that she will be able to do shows for those he usually does live on TV after returning to the country.
Upon returning home, Shanta will host live
programmes on Banglavision and My TV.
She said she will participate in a show in Noakhali on April 4. She is in charge
of presenting that show.
Regarding the Eid programmes, Qatar show, and her busy schedule after returning home, Shanta Jahan told this correspondent, “I had been offered the Qatar show before. But it
didn’t happen. But this time I didn’t want to.
But still I participated in the Qatar show. Actually, I thought that there is not much work on Eid, nor any special celebrations.
So, I thought I would do the Qatar show. So, despite the difficulties, I have already finished recording the TV channel’s programmes. I give thanks to those involved with GTV, Channel 9, and Bangla TV. I give also thanks to my fans and listeners who have always inspired me.”
Shanta also said that on April 11, she will present the concert titled ‘Sobar
Agey Bangladesh’.
