Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan reached Singapore on Sunday for medical treatment. He has been suffering from problem in his eye for some days. He went to Singapore to discuss with the physician for his problem in his eye. He has problem at the retina in his eye.
Earlier, Shakib Al Hasan went to London to discuss with the consultant for his problem at retina in his eye before starting the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). In that time he did not feel any problem in his eye.
He returned to Dhaka on January 18. He played his first match in the Ispahani Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket for Rangpur Riders against Fortune Barishal at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in the capital’s Mirpur on Saturday last.
After the match, Captain of Rangpur Riders Nurul Hasan Sohan said, ” Shakib Al Hasan has been suffering problem at his retina in his eye.”
Sohan said, ” Shakib Bhai is a very important player for our team. I think he has been struggling problem for some days in his same part of his body. He has been consulting to the doctor. The physician can tell the appropriate condition of his eye.”
As Shakib went to Singapore he will miss some BPL matches including Dhaka venue and also other venue. The physician can appropriately tell when Shakib can return to field. Everything depends on the suggestion of the physician.
Shakib faced problem in his eye in the ICC World Cup 2023, which concluded recently in India. No one can exactly said which kind of problem Shakib has been suffering in his important organ. But it is known that Shakib faced problem in his eye when he was batting in the practice and in the matches.
Shakib Al Hasan could not shine with the willow in the BPL match between Rangpur Riders and Fortune Barishal on Saturday last. He scored only two runs against Fortune Barishal but the left-arm spinner bagged two wickets in the space of 16 runs.
Rangpur Riders will take on Sylhet Strikers at the SBNCS today. Shakib will miss the match.
Then, Rangpur Riders will play two matches on January 26 and January 27 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Syhet. Shakib is uncertain for the two matches.
