Suspended Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan made an appeal against his six-month suspension and the cancellation of no-objection certificate. Shakib went to the office of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday noon and submitted an appeal against the suspension requesting for a review. Shakib placed the appeal to the BCB around 12:30pm, Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, chief executive officer of the board, told reporters. “We will bring it to the notice of board president, after which a decision will be taken,” the official added. Later, Shakib read out a statement in front of media where he apologised for his early behavior saying that “I will ensure not to repeat my mistakes in the future.” On July 7, BCB suspended Shakib for six months from all sort of competitive matches as well as decided not to issue any no-objection-letter for 18 months for him to play any overseas league.
