Under the supervision of Bangladesh Tennis Federation, the closing ceremony and prize distribution ceremony of ‘Shahjalal Islami Bank Victory Day Tennis Tournament -2024’ was held at National Tennis Complex, Ramna, in the capital on Friday.
Secretary of Ministry of Youth & Sports Md Rezaul Maksud Jahedi was present as the chief guest and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shahjalal Islami Bank Mohammed Younus was present as the special guest. They distributed prizes among the winners.
Among others, President of Bangladesh Tennis Federation Abdul Hai Sarker, Vice President Md Selim, General Secretary Ishtiaq Ahmed (Curren), Tournament Director Shafiqul Islam Sarkar (Sohel), Deputy Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank M M Saiful Islam and In-charge of Public Relations Department K M Harunur Rashid and other officials of Bangladesh Tennis Federation were also present in the programme.
In this tournament, Jarif Abrar from Army Officers Club won the Men’s Singles category, Md Rustum Ali and Milon Hossain from American Club won Men’s doubles category, Halima Jahan from BKSP won Women’s Single category, Susmita Sen and Sumaiya Akter from Jhalkathi Tennis Club won Women’s Doubles category in the final competition. Apart from this, Kabbo Gayen from BKSP, Halima Jahan from BKSP & Jannat Hawlader from Madaripur Tennis Club won separately the others age-based category.
