Student movement leaders will travel in country to reorganise protesters

The anti-discrimination student movement is going to set up a program on Thursday named ‘Shahidi March’ remembering the martyrs of the mass uprising and observing the one-month anniversary of the fall of the fascist government.

As per the announcement, the march will be held across the country and the central programme will start from the foot of Raju sculpture of Dhaka University (DU) at 3 pm.

The student platform also added that they will travel across the country to reorganise the students of the anti-discrimination movement to work against extortion, syndicate and occupation after being united.

Sarjis Alam, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, made this announcement of the march at a press conference organised at Student Teacher Center (TSC) auditorium of DU on Wednesday while another coordinator Abu Bakr Majumder announced to travel.

The march will proceed from Dhaka University via Nilkhet, Newmarket, Kalabagan, Dhanmondi, Sangsad Bhabhan, Farmgate, Karwaan Bazar, Shahbagh and at Central Shaheed Minar.

However, another coordinator Abu Bakar Majumder announced to travel across the country to reorganise the students of the anti-discrimination movement.

“We will be systematically reorganised across the country. We will travel across the country in groups to reorganise and try to listen to people. We will be the mediator.

Will listen to people and leave it to society. Hopefully, the people of the society will help to implement it,” he added. When asked why they are thinking of reformation, Abu Bakar said, “In the country, many gangs are involved in extortion, syndicate, and occupation.

The students will unite and work against these crimes. Besides, they will work to protect corruption and revolution. We will try to give them some specific guidelines and guidelines.

They will not work outside of it.” Co-ordinators Hasnat Abdullah, Abu Bakar Majumdar and others were also present in the press conference.
