Shaheed Zia memorial council holds interfaith prayers in solidarity with Palestinians

The Shaheed Zia Memorial Council, through its district and metropolitan branches, organised a series of special prayers and blessings on Monday (April 14) to protest Israel’s ongoing brutality, genocide, and the killing of innocent children in Palestine.

The program, which included both religious and community leaders, was held across multiple locations in Narayanganj, demonstrating a unified call for peace and justice.

A notable interfaith event took place at the Ramakrishna Mission, where under the supervision of Prabir Saha and in the presence of Principal Tilak Maharaj, special blessings were offered for all the injured and martyred Palestinians.

The gesture underscored the spirit of religious harmony and compassion.
Shipon Sarkar, General Secretary of the Narayanganj District and Metropolitan Puja Celebration Committee, publicly expressed his solidarity with the people of Palestine, calling for an end to the violence and restoration of human rights.

Simultaneously, a special prayer session was organised at the Bag-e-Jannat Mosque and Madrasa, led by its president Md. Abul Saheb, where a Khatm-e-Khawajegan was performed, praying for peace and healing for all affected Palestinians.

In addition to the prayers for Palestine, supplications for good health and longevity were also offered on behalf of several individuals, including:
Former Member of Parliament Advocate Abul Alam ,Former BKMEA President Manjurul Haque ,BKMEA Senior Vice President Mohiuddin Ahmed ,Local community figures Patol, Nizam, and Jibon, Former District Chhatra Dal President Zakir Khan The multi-faith prayer sessions were led by Mufti Abdur Rahim, who emphasised the importance of standing united against injustice and praying for global peace.
