Even though two weeks have passed, Eid movies still retain the festive atmosphere.
Although it initially received fewer showings at cineplexes, demand for the movie ‘Jongli’ is increasing over time. The number of shows has increased further in the third week. The shows of other movies are going housefull.
The only exception is film ‘Antaratma’. This movie starring Shakib Khan was pulled from the cineplexes before the end of its first week due to lack of audience demand. This movie could not attract audiences even on a single screen.
Shahed Sharif Khan, one of the actors in the film, expressed his anger over the failure of ‘Antaratma’.
Although the movie ‘Borbaad’ was discussed from the first day, the opposite picture was seen in the case of Shakib Khan’s other movie ‘Antaratma’.
The second highest was that the movie disappointed even after its release.
Actor Shahid Sharif Khan feels that ‘Antaratma’ was a flop due to the hype. Expressing his anger over the promotion of ‘Antaratma’, Shahed told this correspondent, “‘Antaratma’ is a movie with a beautiful story. The movie has been made with great care. I was saddened by ‘Antaratma’, it was a bad timing that it was released without any promotion. I myself didn’t know that the movie was being released. I asked producer of the movie, ‘Why did you suddenly do this?’ When the movie started, everyone was very interested. There was a lot of excitement about seeing Shakib Khan and me in a new light. Wasn’t that a wrong decision from that point of view? I was told there was nothing I could do.”
Shahed’s comment is that if a specific artiste is not available, the film cannot be made, people have to be informed. He said, “In any production, the artistes give their best effort. From that point on, ‘Antaratma’ is a work to remember. I thought people would enjoy it a lot, but that wasn’t the case. Not only me as an artiste, but everyone involved with this movie has been affected. Once again, it is proven that a movie will not run if there is a specific person; people have to be informed that the movie is coming. Maybe this is why the movie fell flat.”
Wajed Ali Sumon has made the movie ‘Antaratma’.
West Bengal’s Darshana Banik also starred in it along with Shakib-Shahed.
