Services Wrestling (Men’s & Women’s) begins on Nov 10

The Walton Mobile 5th Services Wrestling (Men’s & Women’s) Competition begins on November 10 at the Kabaddi Stadium.
Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation will arrange the wrestling meet under auspices of Walton.
Bangladesh Army, Border Guard Bangladesh, Bangladesh Police and Bangladesh Ansar will take part in the two-day long competition.
The competition will be held in eight weight categories (Both Men’s & Women’s).
The weight categories for men are: 57 kg, 61 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 74 kg, 86 kg, 97 kg and 125 kg.
The weight categories for women are: 48 kg, 53 kg, 55 kg, 58 kg, 60 kg, 63 kg, 69 kg and 75 kg.
To mark the upcoming wrestling competition, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday. Vice-President of Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation (BAWF) and Additional Director of RB Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, General Secretary of BAWF Tabiur Rahman, Joint-Secretary of the Federation Mesbah Uddin Azad, General Secretary of Bangladesh Body Building Federation Md Nazrul Islam were present at the conference.
The budget of the competition has been estimated at Tk two lakh and fifty thousand while Walton, the sponsor of the meet has given the total money to the Federation to run the meet smoothly.
The champions team will be awarded Tk fifteen thousand while the runners-up team will be given Tk ten thousand. Besides, the best wrestler (Man & Woman) will get Home Appliance on behalf of Walton.
