‘Sena Paribar Kalyan Samity (SPKS), the soldiers’ family welfare society of the Bangladesh Army, distributed winter clothes among poor and needy people at Sheikh Russell Cantonment Public School and College, Jolshiri, here.
Bangladesh Army chief’s wife Sarahnaz Kamalika Zaman, the chief patron of Ladies Club and Children’s Club, was present as the chief guest on the occasion, said a press release of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) this evening.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest expressed hope that the humanitarian activities of SPKS of the Bangladesh Army would continue in the days to come.
She thanked all the members of Sena Paribatr Kollyan Samity (SPKS) for their cooperation in such humanitarian activities.
The ISPR said the winter clothes will be distributed among the poor, helpless, and distressed people across the country through various regional and sub-regional branches of the SPKS.
Wives of senior military officers working in army headquarters, the Dhaka region president of SPKS, members of the SPKS’s Board of Directors, officers, military personnel of other ranks, civil officials and employees, and media people, among others, were present, added the press release.
SPKS is a Bangladeshi non-profit organization operated by the Bangladesh Army and managed by wives of senior military officers. The wife of the Bangladesh Army chief leads the organization.
