A seminar on Promotion of Research in higher education was held at Begum Rokeya University (BRU), Rangpur. The seminar held in the virtual classroom of Academic Building-2 on Monday was attended as the chief guest by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Md. Shawkat Ali. At the time, he said that there is no alternative to research to enrich Begum Rokeya University. The current administration has taken various preparatory activities for students for higher education and research abroad. He urged the students to get involved in various skill development activities including research without wasting their time.

Rezaul Islam Khan of Michigan University of Technology, USA, and Dr. Ven Paulo B. Valenzuela of Singapore Management University as ‘Resource Persons’. The seminar was moderated by Dr. Md. AbdurRakib, Additional Director of IQAC, and students from various departments, including Dr. Md. Abdul Latif, participated in the seminar.
