Security adviser Khalilur dismisses BNP’s claim of foreign citizenship

National Security Adviser Dr. Khalilur Rahman on Sunday firmly rejected the recent allegation by BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed that he holds foreign citizenship.

“I am fully prepared to exercise my rights as a Bangladeshi citizen,” Dr. Rahman told UNB in response to the claim.

He added that the responsibility to substantiate such an accusation lies with the person who made it. “If necessary, the matter will have to be proven in a court of law,” he said.
