SBMCH employees observe hunger strike

Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital employees and attendants observed hunger strike on SBMCH campus on Thursday.

Besides, the activists of the movement at BM College campus postponed their movement for 30 days.

BM College students also announced to prevent trouble makers capitalizing this issue.

Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital Director AKM Mushiul Munir said that the intern doctors and others concerned had decided to go on strike demanding a safe workplace.

Because they would not be able to provide medical services in a frightening situation. They were asked to return from the strike.

Currently, doctors, nurses and other officials and employees are serving patients with fear. They are even afraid to leave the hospital. The hospital has arranged for their lunch at noon.

Navid Nafis, who is acting as the spokesperson for the health sector reform movement, said that several of them were injured. Some are missing.

A press conference will be held to provide details on this matter in front of Ashwini Kumar Hall premises at evening, Nafis informed.
