Satkhira petrol bomb attack victim dies at DMCH

A boy, who along with two other members of his family sustained burn injuries in a petrol bomb attack on their house in Langaljhara area of Kolaroa upazila on October 8, died at the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in the capital Sunday noon.
The deceased was identified as Tanvir Azad, 12, son of Khalilur Rahman, a teacher of Sheikh Amanullah Degree College in Kolaroa upazila of the district.
A group of unknown miscreants threw a petrol
bomb at their house on October 8 that left his Jharna Khatun, 40, and her two sons Tanvir Azad, a student of Class-VII, and Tamim Azad, 7, a class-I student injured.
The injured were first taken to Kolaroa upazila health complex and then to Satkhira Sadar hospital with severe burn injuries.
As their condition deteriorated, they were rushed to the DMCH burn unit on the following day where Tanvir succumbed to his injuries Sunday. Earlier, Tamim succumbed to his injuries on October 14 at the same hospital.
