Sarika Tabassum has recently completed honours in Mass Communication and Journalism from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).
However, before completing the honours, Sarika started presenting professionally from July 2023 through the presentation of ‘Control’ on Channel24.
After that she started working as a news anchor in ‘Sokal24’ and after that. However, even though she worked as a newsreader, Sarika Tabassum used to make regular presentations on this channel’s ‘Control’, ‘Sokal24’ and ‘Dekhbo Ebar Jogottake’.
Sarika Tabassum is more comfortable in presenting.
She feels that work that’s why she wants to enlighten herself as a presenter in the coming days.
She wants to get established as a presenter.
She also feels that working as a presenter is much more comfortable than working as a newsreader.
Meanwhile, Sarika wants to work as a model in advertisements.
She said that In the meantime, she has been offered to act in several dramas. However, even if any actor is interested in acting, it is also important to have a story and character that he/she likes.
Sarika Tabassum told this correspondent, “I mainly feel comfortable working in front of the camera. I like to work in front of the camera. I especially like to present. Because I have to dress according to the type of event, I also have to present the mood according to the type of event. I think presentation is much more creative than reading news, it is also challenging. That is why I’m more interested in presentation. However, there is a desire to work as a model in advertising. If I get a good story and character, I can also act in drama.”
Sarika also said that she is involved with the cultural activities of the school and college since childhood.
In school life, she used to dance.
Sarika Tabassum is daughter of Syed Amir Hossain and Lutunnahar Nasima. They are four sisters – Jenny, Jeba, Sarika and Bushra.
Sarika’s birthday is on December 21.
In addition to working in TV channels, she is also presenting in various stage shows.
However, Sarika wants to work as a freelancer in future presentations.
