Saraswati Puja celebrated at JU

Saraswati Puja, one of the largest religious festivals of the people of Hindu community was observed here at the Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus on Tuesday with due manner and festivity.
Traditionally, the students of campus especially Hindu devotees celebrated the Puja setting up several Mandaps.
Acting Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Dr MA Matin along with administrative personnel visited the Puja spots in different residential dormitories and greeted the Hindu community.
The Vice-Chancellor said, Saraswati is the Goddess of learning, speech and music. He hoped that everyone would come forward for the country’s overall development upholding the traditional communal harmony and fraternity in the society.
