Author and student Saniur Rahman has unveiled his book cover titled ‘She Ebong Tumi’. Professor of Jagannath University Dr. Shohana Ahmed, Dr. Maruful Islam (poetry) and Enayetul Akram Polash unveiled the books on Sunday at a function at Ekushey Book Fair premises in the city. Dipak Chowdhury Bappy, Sorafat Hossain, Subarna Afrin and others were present at the programme.
Saniur Rahman urges all to visit Book Fair as it’s a great festival by which we can promote our cultures.
He added that the publishers and authors will have a better scope of reaching a wider audience if they publish e-books or translate Bangla books into other languages. So, my book ‘She Ebong Tumi’ will be available soon in online.
Saniur thanked Bangla Academy as well as the government for arranging the fair amid growing tensions about it not going ahead.
The publisher of ‘Nirban ‘ said, “People are more interested in taking selfies with books than buying books. People should buy books which will enhance the beauty of Book Fair.
