A beautiful bird sanctuary has been established in Baraigram upazila of Natore with gathering of migratory birds. This sanctuary has been established in a garden created on 24/25 bighas of land enclosed by bamboo bushes, mango, amra, tamarind, mahogany and shimul trees at Mridhapara of Tirail village in Majhgaon union of the upazila.
Nazim Uddin and Matiur Rahman of Tirail village said that in the garden, numerous migratory birds of various species can be seen – ducks, pankauri, shamuk kal, nalkak, hargilas, as well as native birds such as sparrows and shaliks. Most of them are hargilas.
