Samuel Boateng hat-trick lifts Mohammedan in BFL

Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club defeated PWD Sports Club 4-0 in the Bangladesh Football League (BFL) at the Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla on Saturday. Last season’s top-scorer Samuel Boateng scored a hat-trick. He completed his hat-trick in the 66th, 77th and 82nd minutes. The other goal was scored by Muzaffarov.

Mohammedan now moved up to fourth place in the points table with today’s win. Although they have the same 7 points as Brothers Union, Mohammedan is one step ahead due to the goal difference.

In the day’s match, Fortis Football Club split point with Abahani Limited Dhaka when their match ended in a goalless draw in the Bangladesh Football League (BFL) held at Bashundhara Kings arena in the capital.

Both the teams got several scoring chances but failed to take the lead lack of proper finishing.
Despite the day’s outcome, Fortis Football Club moved third position in the league table with eight points from five matches while the traditional sky blue Dhanmondi outfit Abahani Limited collected five points playing the same number of matches.

Fortis Football Club will play their next match against Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society on December 12 while Abahani Limited will meet Fakirerpool Young Men’s Club on December 13.
Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society registered their third win in the Bangladesh Football League (BFL) defeating Arambagh Krira Sangha by 3-0 goals held at Birshrestha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj.

In the day’s match, Gambian midfielder Solomon King put Rahmatganj ahead in the 37th minute from a spot kick while Nepalise defender Abhishek Limbu doubled the lead scoring the second goal for Rahmatganj in the 42nd minute of the match.

After the breather, Gambian forward Adama Jammeh sealed the victory scoring the third goal for Rahmatganj in the 68th minute of the match.

The day’s win saw the traditional Old Dhaka outfit Rahmatgtanj moved up second position in the league table with ten points from five matches while Arambagh remained bottom of the table with one point playing the same number of matches.

Rahmatganj will play next match against Fortis Football Club while Arambagh Krira Sangha will play against Brothers Union Club on December 12.
