Begum Samia Sultana has been appointed as the new director general (DG) of the Soil Resource Development Institute, SRDI.
The Ministry of Agriculture issued an order on Wednesday (November 13) in this regard.
Samia Sultana, the chief scientific officer and project director (CCDS) at SRDI.
She is an efficient officer of the 15th batch of BCS Agriculture Cadre.
A notification signed by Devi Chanda, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, said that until further orders, Dr. Begum Samia Sultana, Chief Scientific Officer and Project Director (CCBS), Soil Resources Development Institute, Head Office, has been given the position of Director General of the institution.
The newly appointed Director General expressed his intention to work for the development of agriculture, farmers and soil in the future with all the officers and employees and sought everyone’s cooperation.
