Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s adviser on private industry and investment Salman F Rahman and former law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs minister Anisul Haque have been arrested.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Mainul Hassan confirmed the matter on Tuesday.
It has been reported that the former prime minister’s adviser Salman F Rahman and former law minister Anisul Haque were arrested by the police from the city’s Sadarghat area while escaping by river in a case filed with the Newmarket police station on Tuesday afternoon.
They were arrested from Sadarghat area in the capital on Tuesday afternoon in a case filed with New Market Police Station, he said.
