Senior Assistant Coach of Bangladesh National Cricket team Mohammad Salahuddin quit from his job on Wednesday. Salahuddin’s tenure was 2027 ODI World Cup. But Salahuddin’s campaign as an assistant coach will come to an end after the Ireland series. Bangladesh will play two Test-match series and three T20I-matche series which will be concluded on December 2. Mohammad Salahuddin submitted his resignation letter for his personal reasons. The BCB accepted the resignation letter of Salahuddin.

He completed all formalities after he was present at the BCB Headquarters in the capital’s Mirpur on Wednesday.

Salahuddin said, ” Though I have submitted resignation letter but I shall work until the ending of Ireland series. Coaching is an entertaining job. The grounds are everything of me. I am not enjoying my profession now-a-days. So, I have decided to quit my job.”

He said, ” I didn’t feel any problem to work with Head Coach Phil Simmons.”
After the appointment of president of the BCB Faruque Ahmed highly praised the performance of Salahddin as coach. Then he appointed Salahuddin as senior assistant coach of Bangladesh National Cricket team. Salahuddin also acted as batting coach also. Some of the BCB officials blamed Salahuddin for the batting failure of Bangladesh batters in the recently concluded three-match T20I series of West Indies.

Besides, Salahuddin was interested to give the wicketkeeping job to Nurul Hasan Sohan in the Afghanistan series. But Captain Jaker Ali did wicketkeeping in that series. Some officials also blamed Salahuddin for Jaker Ali’s dissatisfactory performance.

After quit the job of BCB, Salahuddin will act as a coach in the domestic cricket. He may act as a head coach in a participating team for the ensuing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket.
