Tommy Mia moved to Britain with his parents at the age of 10. He started his career by washing dishes in a restaurant as a student.
At that time, he decided to choose cooking as a career. After that, he did not have to look back.
He became an internationally renowned chef. He has also worked with culinary artists from Bangladesh.
Tommy Mia’s Hospitality Institute has trained international-class chefs in several places including Dhaka and Sylhet.
Now, the biography of this culinary artist is coming to the big screen.
This biopic titled ‘CTM’ will be directed by Moniruzzaman Monir. Next year, Tommy Mia’s Dhallywood Awards 2026 will be organised in collaboration with Tommy Mia MBE.
The event will be held in London in October. A group of popular stars of the country will participate in this event, initiated by the Bangladesh Film Directors’ Association.
Sajjad Hossain will play the role of Tommy Mia on screen. Before coming to acting, he himself worked as a chef.
Sajjad trained at Tommy Mia’s Institute of Management in 2007. After that, he worked as a chef in a restaurant in London. Later, he moved to the country to pursue acting.
Sajjad made his debut in Dhallywood with the movie ‘MR Nine’. He then acted in the movies ‘Mona: Jinn-2’ and ‘Meghna Kanya’.
His ovie ‘Prem Puran’ awaiting to release. Major portion of the CTM movie will be shot in London.
