Prolific all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin was included in the Bangladesh ‘A’ Cricket team to play a four-day match and three one-day matches against Pakistan ‘A’ Cricket team in Pakistan. But he has taken a two-month leisure from cricket.
He was included in the team after a long gap. Mohammad Saifuddin performed extremely well in the last Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket. After that, he played for Bangladesh National Cricket team in the recently concluded Zimbabwe series. He was not included in the Bangladesh National Cricket squad to play in the ICC T20 World Cup in the United States of America (USA) and the West Indies 2024.
He was not included as he could not show satisfactory performance in the death over. Promising pacer Tanzim Hasan was included in the Bangladesh Cricket squad instead of him for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Tanzim Hasan showed a gimmick performance with the cherry for Bangladesh National Cricket team in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
On the other hand, Mohammad Saifuddin had to spend his time to watch the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 matches on television.
Later, Mohammad Saifuddin became little bit frustrated. So, he decided that he will not go to Pakistan as a member of Bangladesh ‘A’ Cricket team. A Selector of the BCB said to a local website, ” After announcing the Bangladesh ‘A’ Cricket team, Mohammad Saifuddin sent an e-mail on July 30. In that e-mail he stated he has been suffering frustration. So, he requested that he would be happy if he cannot be called all sorts of cricketing activities for two-month.”
After one and half months, Mohammad Saifuddin showed a satisfactory performance for Bangladesh National Cricket team. But he was not included in the ICC T20 World Cup. He also spent his time to his pregnant wife.
So, Bangladesh ‘A’ Cricket team will leave the city for Pakistan to take part in the upcoming series without him.
