Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
After gaining popularity in television dramas, everyone’s goal is to act in movies. Recently, some small screen actresses have entered movies.
After proving themselves in dramas, Mehazabien Chowdhury, Sabila Nur and Tasnia Farin are proving their worth on the big screen.
Actress Tanjin Tisha also started shooting for her first movie earlier this month.
While many see this as a positive thing, some are making comments. They are belittling her as a drama artiste.
Actress Safa Kabir said that many artistes are losing courage due to such negative comments.
She herself is afraid to decide to act in movies due to negative comments.
Recently, Safa Kabir said at an event that she also wants to act in films.
However, she is afraid of negative comments. While talking in this regard, Safa said, “I have been hearing this question for a long time when I will be seen on the big screen.
I also want to see myself in films. But now I am a little afraid. Recently, many good actresses from dramas are doing films. However, some people are mocking them by calling them drama heroines.
Such comments are discouraging me. I have not come on the big screen yet, but I am getting scared because of such negative comments.”
Last Eid, Sabila Nur became Shakib Khan’s heroine in movie ‘Taandob’. Many small screen artists acted in this movie.
At that time, Shakib Khan said that artistes should not be discriminated between small and big screen.
In that context, Safa said, “Stars like Shakib Khan should not make this distinction.
But why are the others doing it? This is my question. When I hear about discrimination, I feel scared and bad.
This should not be done. We artistes want to move from one stage to another. For that, we need everyone’s encouragement and love.”
Safa Kabir has been seen less in dramas lately. The actress pointed out the reason, “I was on a break for a while.
After an 11-year journey in my career, it seems like I am not getting any new stories and characters.
Even if I do get them, they are very few. This is why the amount of work has decreased. However, I hope to be able to give everyone some good news next month.”
